St Philip & St Etheldreda, Newmarket was formerly the Chapel of Newmarket Hospital although originally it was a workhouse chapel. It is the only workhouse chapel in Suffolk that is still in use as an Anglican church,.

But a Church is not the building, it's the people and here's what people say "P&E" means to them:

 "a place of safety where I can relax with God & my 'Family'

 

Songs of Praise is held  every month on the 1st Monday

We have regular worship at 9.30 a.m. every Sunday morning, with music led on either:

........or a small music group.

  • 2nd Monday evening – Healing & Wholeness Service
  • 3rd Monday afternoon – U3A
  • 2nd Wednesday evening – Women’s Institute
  • 4th Wednesday evening – Gardening Club (Note – from December 2009 will be on 3rd Wednesday)
